BEING AN INTROVERT AND STILL EXTROVERTING - ( AN AMBIVERT)

Today, the world feels there must be something wrong, if you stay alone or enjoy staying alone. I don't think so! It just means you are an introvert and there's nothing wrong with that. Not everyone likes to chitchat every now and then and that's when an ambivert comes in. An ambivert is one who has both an introvert and an extrovert personality. They can be boisterous and at the same time, they enjoy being alone like going to the movies solo. If you are an ambivert, welcome to the club. I get that a lot of people do not understand you most times. Know that enjoying alone time sometimes doesn't mean you don't enjoy hanging out or making friends; it just simply means that when one is alone, it's the only time they get to meditate and process things for a while without distractions and while at that, a lot can be achieved.  Ambiverts are people who sometimes like to socialise but other times, like to be alone. Couple of times, I have isolated myself and

DO YOU HAVE AN ENEMY? THEY ARE FRIENDS IN DISGUISE - SEE HOW

According to the Bible verse in  2 Corinthians 12:10; when you are insulted, persecuted, hated for no reason, it makes you strong and there is always a lesson to learn from every adversity. Paul took pleasure in his weaknesses, in the insults howled at him because he believed that Christ's power rests on him to overcome and triumph. The power of Christ is available to make every weakness perfect and his grace abounds forever for when you are weak, then you are strong. We all have that one or two persons in our life we see as our enemy or maybe ''haters'' like we call it now. But do you know they are our friends in disguise? God uses them to hew us through our character and response to their gimmicks.  When you are insulted, you can retaliate with a pricking revenge or learn something and see it as a growth opportunity. In the book of Psalm 119:71, David admitted that it is good for him to be afflicted so that he might learn God's mandate. In other

TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE IN HAUSALAND - THE PROCESS AND RITES

The Hausa are one of the most congested ethnic groups in Africa. They are heterogeneous in nature but culturally homogeneous people. They reside mostly in the Northern part of the country known to them as ''Arewa'' which is translated as Northern Nigeria. They are primarily Muslims while few are Christians. Although a great number of people in this region speak the Hausa language, different tribes among them have their own unique dialects. The Hausa traditional marriage is not as time consuming or expensive like the Yoruba and Igbo traditional marriage rites. Unlike in other culture where you are allowed some kind of freedom with the opposite sex, a Hausa man and woman don't have such freedom and the only thing that will bring about sexual contact between them is marriage. The Na Gani Ina  is the first stage where the groom with his male friends and kinsmen visit the bride's family house to make their intention known. They also go along with gifts. The

THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT MENSTRUATION [MENSTRUAL CYCLE]

The term 'menstruation' and 'menses' are derived from the Latin mensis meaning month. The time between each menses is colloquially called a menstrual period and the proper medical term is menses . Menstruation is a monthly shedding of a female's uterine lining which is the inner layer of the womb;the cells that line the womb{uterus}. The menstruation should last about 3 to 5 days. DIFFERENT WAYS TO KNOW YOU LOVE SOMEONE

Falling in love can be a bit scary especially when you don't know or not sure the other person feels the same way. Personally, love was never in my glossary because I had so many disturbing events with machos and it led to my deep distrust in men and in love generally. I never imagined there was ever going to be a time I would say I love you to someone and mean it sincerely until recently. Love is indeed a beautiful thing if rather reciprocated. One thing that is quite profound about love is that when you truly love someone, you put them first, you put their needs first, you give without expecting and you rather loose so they can win. There are so many ways to know when someone loves you or when you love someone but written below are a few tips on how to depict real love. When you love someone, their happiness is as important to you as is yours. When love is involved in a relationship, you care about the other person's happiness. Meaning, their happiness becomes your h
