HOW TO BE A GOOD WIFE TO YOUR HUSBAND

Many a times, quite a number of people are intensively interested in topics concerning relationships and marriages. How to behave and how not to behave when married. I did a few questioning and stumbled upon the topic, 'HOW TO BE A GOOD WIFE'.

I would be using scriptural backup as well on how to be and remain a good wife to a potential or contemporary husband. Every man desires a good wife and every woman wants to be one, right? The qualities of being a good wife are already there and other attributes can be developed or learned.

POSSESS POSITIVE QUALITIES
Husbands love it when their wives are sociable, loving, kind, understanding and patient. Support him when he fails or succeed. Be willing to build an empire with him from the ground up and be loyal to him most especially when things are tough. Avoid at all cost castigating, when there's an oversight rather try fix it. Appreciate his efforts no matter how diminutive it appears. It would encourage him to be more and do more.

BE A GREAT HOME KEEPER
I grew up watching my mom constantly cleaning, washing, organizing our home and I took along with me that trait. Your family cannot be living in a messy house. Who wants a woman who cannot keep the house well organized. This attribute in a woman would make a man earnestly depend on you and would miss you when you aren't around.

STOP NAGGING
To be a good wife, you must stay afar off nagging. It's a spirit that came to steal, kill and destroy your marriage, tranquility and joy. What does the bible say about nagging?
Proverb 21:9 ''It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife''.
Proverb 27:15 ''A continual dripping on a rainy day and a quarrelsome wife are alike''.
Do you want your husband to always stay back at work even when everyone has gone home and there's nothing more to do? He seeks peace but can't get it from home because his wife is waiting for him to return so she can nag about an irrelevant issue. If you are the nagging type, work on it before you get married. Nagging brings about frustration and resentment. Instead of nagging, pray for and encourage your spouse more often than not.

GIVE HIM SPACE
This would make him love you more. Allow him to have a life outside marriage and don't choke him because he married you. Am sure he has friends, siblings or games he wants to watch with his friends. It won't break you to give him that freedom. Encourage him to have fun and other life separate from you. You too would like to be with your friends once in a while, right? Don't worry, he is yours and no one would steal him from you.

BE HONEST AND LEARN TO COMMUNICATE WELL
This is very essential for a solid foundation in every marriage. A man appreciates a woman who don't keep secrets from him. If something bothers you, don't hesitate to have an honest conversation with him. Communicate effectively and calm down when talking or resolving an issue.
Good communication rather than yelling would strengthen your marriage and make your husband listen to you more.

LOOK ATTRACTIVE
Just because you got the man doesn't mean you should stop looking good or stop impressing him. You owe yourself that. Looking good can boost your self confidence as a woman. Men love women who take care of themselves and smell good. It would keep your husband allured to you.

CHOOSE FIGHTS WISELY
Every marriage have fights but you need to know the one that is necessary and the one to drop. Do not stare up unnecessary fights like stressing on that woman who waved at your husband.
Girl, give him a break! There are somethings that aren't worth it and would make your marriage deteriorate. Let it go before it becomes too late.

GIVE HIM RESPECT
Respect they say is reciprocal. To earn it is to give it. Be respectful to your husband and listen when he talks. Mind how you behave and how you speak to him.

SATISFY HIM IN BED
This is quite key in successful marriages. Be spontaneous and unpredictable in bed. This would keep him true to you. If he is happy in bed with you, he would want to keep you happy too.

There are many other ways to be a good wife but these are my few tips and if you have more please leave a comment below.

TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE IN HAUSALAND - THE PROCESS AND RITES

The Hausa are one of the most congested ethnic groups in Africa. They are heterogeneous in nature but culturally homogeneous people. They reside mostly in the Northern part of the country known to them as ''Arewa'' which is translated as Northern Nigeria. They are primarily Muslims while few are Christians. Although a great number of people in this region speak the Hausa language, different tribes among them have their own unique dialects. The Hausa traditional marriage is not as time consuming or expensive like the Yoruba and Igbo traditional marriage rites. Unlike in other culture where you are allowed some kind of freedom with the opposite sex, a Hausa man and woman don't have such freedom and the only thing that will bring about sexual contact between them is marriage.
