DIFFERENT MAKEUP TIPS AND TRICKS EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW {BEGINNERS AND PROFESSIONALS}

Being a makeup artist, there are so many tricks and hacks you get to find out as you grow consistently in the beauty industry. These tricks can be tried by anyone and definitely won't harm your skin. Unless, that's if you use faux products or brands.

MAKEUP TIPS AND TRICKS

The Eyebrow Trick
When using eyebrow pencil, powder or gel and you want it to last all day. Apply a transparent [waterproof] eye primer first afore the eyebrow product of your choice. This would make your eye brow product stay longer. I recommend Milani or NYX eye primer.

The Eye-shadow Trick

If you can't afford an eye primer to pop your eye shadows or you ran out of it. Don't fret!
Just opt for any liquid concealer of your choice. It glides perfectly and prolongs your eye shadow as do the latter(eye primer). I love to use Tara Pro Concealer in 06 for this even though I have an eye primer. #winks. My eye shadow popping right?

The Inner Rim [Waterline]Trick
We all can be creative and no one would charge you for that. I have been trying this trick consistently and it works for me with no effect. Instead of using white pencil eyeliner for my waterline, I use Tara Eye primer. Its white in color and I apply it to my inner rim with a small eyeliner brush. It stays all day without smearing.

The Eyelash Trick
Before applying mascara, use a setting spray on your lashes. It would prolong the mascara and keep the mascara from flaking or clumping. I use ferrarucci prep + prime fix spray.

The Foundation Trick

Most people believe that any foundation that matches your face is the right shade but trust me, you get your perfect shade when the foundation is applied on your neck. Reason why is so that, your face isn't too dark or too light from your body or neck. Your foundation has to match perfectly with your chest/neck or body and not your face. Most people have discolorations like lighter body and darker faces or for some darker faces and lighter body. No one would want to have a face lighter or darker from their neck. I know it seems counter-intuitive but try this tip and you would be glad you came across this post. If you have an oily skin, opt for matte foundations and for normal to dry skin, opt for any foundation of your choice. I use Tara Matte Foundation in 327 because I have an oily skin.

The Oily Nose Trick
Apply water based eye primer on your nose, set it with a fix spray then dab your matte foundation. Your nose will be matte all day long. I recommend Urban Decay eye primer, ELF eye primer or Smashbox eye primer.

The Mascara Trick
More heat, less clump. Run your mascara under hot water or put it in a cup of hot water for some minutes before use. It makes the mascara apply easier and clump free.
When your mascara is dried out, add 2 drops of contact lens solution into the mascara tube. Jiggle the mix and apply to your lashes. If still dry, add 1 more drop, jiggle and use again. Be careful no to add so much liquid. This simple trick revives any dried out mascara.
For fuller lashes, try out Tara Fibre Fuse Mascara.

Dried Gel Eyeliner Trick

Add 3 drops of eye drops into your eyeliner. Mix it up with a toothpick until its perfectly evened out.
Voila! Ready to use again.

Lipstick Trick
To help your lipstick last longer; hold a tissue over your lips, then use a brush to dust translucent or setting powder over your lips. This trick will keep your lipstick intact all day. I recommend Tara sheer finish powder.

Pencil Eyeliner Trick
If you are bothered about your liners smudging and messing up your under eye, take an eyeshadow that matches the eyeliner pencil and use that to set the eyeliner. Afterwards, use a setting powder underneath the eyeliner.

  • You can also turn your pencil eyeliner into gel by the help of a lighter.

  • Also, make your own lip gloss with your broken eye shadows and petroleum jelly. Mix together to make any color lip gloss you desire.

TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE IN HAUSALAND - THE PROCESS AND RITES

The Hausa are one of the most congested ethnic groups in Africa. They are heterogeneous in nature but culturally homogeneous people. They reside mostly in the Northern part of the country known to them as ''Arewa'' which is translated as Northern Nigeria. They are primarily Muslims while few are Christians. Although a great number of people in this region speak the Hausa language, different tribes among them have their own unique dialects. The Hausa traditional marriage is not as time consuming or expensive like the Yoruba and Igbo traditional marriage rites. Unlike in other culture where you are allowed some kind of freedom with the opposite sex, a Hausa man and woman don't have such freedom and the only thing that will bring about sexual contact between them is marriage. The Na Gani Ina  is the first stage where the groom with his male friends and kinsmen visit the bride's family house to make their intention known. They also go along with gifts. The
